Some Enchanted Freezing...
The part of winter that most of us love to hate, is freezing rain! Messy, damp and definitely a dangerous time to be out driving the roads, or wearing tread free stilettos...but the aftermath is breathtaking (the aftermath of freezing rain, not a stiletto wipeout...although, that could be pretty amusing too!).
A beautiful blanket of what looks like shimmering diamonds covers the entire landscape...
Young Amish children, slipping and sliding their way home from school...all the while, unaware that their public school counterparts are basking in the glory of another school bus cancellation.
Rain drops, frozen in time on a page-wire fence...(not a good time to stick your tongue on that wire...actually, there really isn't a good time to stick your tongue on any wire, now that I think about it!)
Winter bare trees and berry bushes are "Be Dazzled" with crystal drops...
...and the evening sun washes a pink and purple watercolour over glass covered trees and sets low on another magical winter day...I think that if I lived in Pixie Hollow...I would be a Winter Fairy!
