A Glimpse of Winter

These are a few photos that I managed to capture after one of our fleeting winter snowfalls...I went out first thing and it felt like I was traipsing around in a snowglobe...the blue/gray light of that morning was a magnificent background for a frosty day.

Every tree...

...every branch,

...and every leaf, covered in feathery shards of crystal-like frost.

An abandoned farm house made beautiful again by a cloak of white...

...and it's rustic barn once lively with cattle and swine, sat eerily quiet... frozen in time.

A morning like this is a vivid reminder of how beautiful our winters can be...if only it would visit again before the showers of spring.
